WHO IS THE MOLE?! Lioness Season 3 Episode 8 Just Changed Everything — And the Finale Could Be Ruthless

And that ending? It changes everything.

Episode 7 delivers the intensity fans expect, but underneath the operations and suspicions, it also gives us something much more personal: Joe finally coming home.

Watching her break down is brutal.

She cries, the emotional walls disappear, and for a moment the woman who is usually expected to control everything simply can’t hold it together anymore.

But the episode doesn’t allow us to stay in that emotional moment for long.

Because one question immediately takes over:

WHO IS THE MOLE?

And here’s the detail that could be crucial going into the finale: if Kaitlyn and her husband really can be ruled out, the circle of people capable of compromising the operation suddenly becomes frighteningly small — and the double agent now looks more suspicious than ever.

That changes the entire game.

For a while, it was easy to wonder whether Kaitlyn knew more than she was revealing. Her position gives her access, influence and enough information to make almost anyone suspicious.

Her husband naturally became part of that speculation as well.

But Episode 7 appears to push viewers away from that explanation.

The show could easily have saved that emotional return for the final episode. Instead, Episode 7 gives Joe that moment now.

Perhaps because the finale needs her somewhere else entirely.

Joe has finally been allowed to come home, reconnect with the people she loves and briefly remember what she’s fighting to protect.

Now imagine what happens if she discovers that the betrayal reaches closer to her than she expected.

The double agent may indeed be the mole.

But Episode 7’s sudden suspicion almost feels too convenient.

And that could be the clue hiding in plain sight.

What if the double agent isn’t the final reveal at all? What if she knows who the real mole is — and that’s precisely why someone needs Joe to believe she’s guilty before she can talk?

That would turn the finale into something far more ruthless than a simple traitor reveal.

Joe wouldn’t just need to find the mole.

She would have to figure out who is lying before the wrong person is silenced.

After Episode 7, Kaitlyn doesn’t feel like the answer. Her husband doesn’t feel like the answer. The double agent is now standing directly under the spotlight.

And in Lioness, that’s exactly when you should start looking at whoever is still standing in the dark.

The finale isn’t just going to reveal who betrayed them. It may reveal that they’ve been hunting the wrong person all along.
