Explosive Conflict: Below Deck Med’s Aesha Scott Loses Control Over Ellie Dubaich’s Actions!

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9’s villain Ellie Dubaich’s behavior has Chief Stew Aesha Scott angrier than she’s ever been on screen, especially after trying to take control over the interior team. Throughout Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, Ellie has been working hard to prove herself with the hopes of becoming a Chief Stew in her next season. She was excited to be working with Aesha, knowing that as one of the most successful Chief Stews in the franchise, she’d started at a lower rank on Below Deck Mediterranean, and managed to work her way up to the top ranking Stew.

Even with Ellie understanding that Aesha could help her in her journey to become a Chief Stew, the Second Stew had problems that started early in the season. When Ellie revealed to her fellow Stew Bri Muller that she was interested in Lead Deckhand Joe Bradley, Bri didn’t share that she had her sights set on their fellow crewmate. Instead, Joe played Bri and Ellie against each other throughout the season, making their professional lives as difficult as their personal ones. Even after Ellie and Bri forgave each other, things were difficult between the interior team members throughout the season.

Aesha Has Been Irritated With Ellie’s Performance

She’s Not Happy With Ellie’s Work

Aesha’s been spending her time on Below Deck Mediterranean struggling with Ellie and Bri’s work in different measures. While Bri is a more inexperienced Stew who has been having a hard time keeping track of her work, Ellie’s work as a Stew with nearly a decade of experience should be better off. Unfortunately, Ellie has been having a hard time keeping up with her work as Second Stew and has been doing poorly managing in her position. While the interior team has been down a Stew, Ellie has struggled with the elevated workload.

While Ellie’s work hasn’t been as poor as possible, she’s been cutting corners and making mistakes that Aesha’s noticed throughout her time aboard Mustique. Making it harder overall for the rest of the team to succeed, Aesha has noticed that Ellie struggles to clean up after herself and tries to delegate tasks that she should be taking on. With a difficult work style, Aesha has been having a hard time figuring out how to come to Ellie with her problems.

Ellie Hasn’t Been Working Up To Her Full Potential

Her Superiority Complex Created Issues

While Ellie’s been doing the best she can, she hasn’t been working up to her full potential in her time aboard Mustique. With a superiority complex that pushes her to try to one-up the people beneath her, Ellie has taken her relationship with Bri to a very different level than the typical Second Stew. Ellie’s been overbearing with Bri, making it clear that she’s higher ranked than the Third Stew, but hasn’t been delivering.

In her time aboard Mustique, Ellie has struggled to figure out how to manage her time and prioritize her tasks in the right manner. Making it clear that she doesn’t understand which tasks are the most important and which are the least, Ellie has been having a difficult time with Aesha’s instructions, sometimes downright ignoring them. Even though she feels she’s working on a high level, she’s barely scraping the bottom of the barrel of her own potential.

Aesha’s Tried To Be Careful With Ellie’s Emotions

She Held Back Her Genuine Criticism

Although Aesha has been doing her best to work around both Ellie and Bri’s personalities, she’s been struggling with giving Ellie feedback more than with Bri. While Bri isn’t incredibly receptive to criticism, she’s at least been able to implement fixes for the issues she’s faced aboard Mustique. Ellie, in contrast, hasn’t been able to take constructive criticism or feedback as Aesha’s provided it. While it appears she thinks she’s been able to work on her performance, Ellie’s response to criticism has been difficult throughout the season.

Feeling like she has to over-explain and lash out with counter-criticism, Ellie has been tough when Aesha comes to her with problems. Because of her behavior, Aesha has avoided giving Ellie much feedback unless it’s incredibly pertinent. Though Ellie deserves to understand that her performance is poor and know how Aesha needs her to improve, it’s proven too difficult for Aesha to talk to Ellie in a neutral setting. Ellie seems to take Aesha’s criticism personally, which makes it harder for the Chief Stew to help her improve her skills.

Ellie’s Taken Things Too Far Delegating With Carrie & Bri

Although Ellie has been struggling throughout the charter season, things escalated when Captain Sandy Yawn and Aesha brought in a fourth Stew for the end of the charter season to ensure things could run smoothly. Carrie O’Neill, who was happy to work as a floating Stew wherever Aesha needed, had a similar set of experiences to Ellie before coming to work aboard Mustique. While Ellie and Carrie seemed like they were going to be at the same level, it quickly became clear that Carrie was more efficient than Ellie, which the Second Stew took as a threat.

With Carrie aboard Mustique, Ellie struggled to understand her role and felt like Aesha was going to push her down the ladder and replace her with Carrie at any moment. While Aesha didn’t have plans to replace Ellie in the final charters of the season, Ellie’s attitude made it clear that she was having a hard time working in the new group. Delegating Carrie and Bri for tasks when Aesha was present and trying to overstep her authority at every turn to ensure her position was known, Ellie angered Aesha in the most recent charter.

Will Aesha Lose It On Ellie During The Season Finale?

She Might Blow Up On Ellie

Aesha gave Ellie a taste of the anger that she was feeling during the most recent episode of Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, getting upset after Ellie continually overstepped. While it appeared that Ellie was just trying to get her work done, her incessant orders and consistent direction weren’t what Aesha wanted from her. She explained that Ellie was trying to go over her head, even if she didn’t mean it, and Aesha didn’t appreciate being overstepped in that way. While Ellie tried to apologize, Aesha didn’t want to hear it.

Aesha snapped at Ellie in the most recent episode of the series but with one final episode left in the season, could she lose it entirely? Aesha has been struggling with Ellie throughout the charter season, but with her most recent actions and attitude, the Chief Stew would have every right to blow up on Ellie. While it may not be a matter of firing Ellie, it could be worth it for Aesha to make sure that Ellie understands why her performance throughout the charter season wasn’t up to par. Below Deck Mediterranean season 9’s Chief Stew should be upfront.

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
