After receiving intense criticism, Sunny Marquis apologized to the star of Below Deck Season 11

Below Deck Season 11's Sunny and Dylan emotional and in pain

Below Deck season 11 star Sunny Marquis issued an apology to fellow castmate Nick Tatlock after facing online backlash for her remarks. This season has been filled with drama both on-screen and on social media, and the cast of Below Deck season 11 has been keeping viewers thoroughly entertained. Fans have witnessed the unfolding drama between Barbie Pascual and Ben Willoughby on Instagram, the on-screen drama between Dylan Pierre De Villiers and Ben Willoughby, and the ever-changing boatmance of Ben Willoughby and Sunny Marquis. Despite facing backlash, the Below Deck season 11 cast continues to stir the drama and face the consequences.

Sunny Marquis seems to have offended fans on social media with her comments about Chef Nick’s age.

Sunny took to her Instagram Stories to share her confusion surrounding the backlash she’s receiving about comments she made about Chef Nick. These comments seem to be in reference to age, and it seems some social media users took offense. On May 3, Sunny posted two Instagram Story videos extending an apology to Nick and speaking about the vicious Reddit comments she’d seen over the past few days. However, Sunny’s videos weren’t necessarily serious apology videos.

Is Chef Nick Tatlock A Good Replacement For Chef Anthony?

Sunny brought up the social media comments calling her immature and lacking life perspectives, and went on to clarify what she meant by her comments, saying, “What I meant to say is the chef was older, and most people in the industry are in their 20’s and early 30’s, like its really rare you see people over 40.” She went on to issue a small apology to Nick and everyone else she offended by her comments. She jokingly stated that people in their 40’s aren’t old, just middle-aged, and she can’t wait to be 40 because, apparently, it’s a “golden age.”

After his late arrival, Chef Nick showed up looking to showcase his talents and quirky personality while also doing a better job than his predecessor. Although his food was spectacular, Chef Anthony Iracane found himself fired when he couldn’t get his timing and organization under control. With Nick’s 20 years of chef experience, it seemed that he would bring the organization and communication that Chef Anthony lacked. However, in a sneak peek of the next Below Deck episode, it seems as though Chef Nick will encounter a few setbacks of his own.

When it comes to reality television shows, it’s common for drama to extend beyond the screen and onto social media. Sunny and the remaining cast of Below Deck season 11 are currently experiencing this firsthand, with their on-screen and online comments being closely scrutinized. It’s up to each individual cast member to decide how they handle the backlash or negative consequences that may arise from their actions. Some may choose to ignore it, while others may choose to address it head-on by issuing public statements. Either way, it’s important to remember that criticism and backlash are a normal part of the reality TV experience.
