What became of Chef Nick Tatlock after Below Deck Season 11?
Chef Nick Tatlock’s culinary career hasn’t slowed down since Below Deck season 11. Before joining the St. David’s crew, Chef Anthony Iracane was the resident chef for the first half of the charter season. He navigated time management issues and didn’t have a lot of self-confidence – these problems began to negatively impact the quality of his work. Chef Anthony couldn’t focus under pressure, and he was fired by Captain Kerry Titheradge well into the charter season. Captain Kerry called on Chef Nick to replace the former chef for a few of the final Below Deck season 11 trips.
It was tough for him to find his place among the St. David’s crew. They had already established a bond with Chef Anthony, and most of the cast were sad to see him leave the superyacht. Chef Nick wasn’t the best fit for St. David, and didn’t get along well with Chief Stew Fraser Olender. Captain Kerry challenged them to complete the charter season on a good note – this was a goal that they ended up achieving. Aside from his quirky personality, Chef Nick excelled at his job, creating tasty dishes, and he’s continued to grow as a chef since Below Deck.

Chef Nick hasn’t changed careers since appearing on the reality yachting show. He is still fully immersed in the yachting industry. Chef Nick joined Below Deck season 11 with two decades of experience as a chef. He has worked all around the world, and added another job to his resume after his stint on the St. David. While many of the yachties on Below Deck season 11 had minimal experience, the chef spent years honing his skills as a superyacht chef. Unlike some personalities from the show, Chef Nick hasn’t quit his job to bask in reality TV fame.
Chef Nick’s Journey On Below Deck
What Was Chef Nick Like On Below Deck?
One reason why he struggled to blend in with the crew was the fact that he joined the season at the midway point, after Chef Anthony was fired. Crew members like Chief Stew Fraser began to appreciate Chef Anthony, and were disappointed when he couldn’t keep up with the demands of the job. Once Captain Kerry hired Chef Nick, he rubbed some people the wrong way. He feuded with stew Paris Field and Fraser over small issues. Chef Nick warned the stew about her love of mayonnaise and the potential weight gain it could cause.
Fraser got frustrated with Chef Nick at times. He refused to add garnishes or perform other minimal tasks. His conflict with Paris reached its peak during a lunch on the beach. She went into the event with instructions from Fraser, while Chef Nick had his ideas about how to organize the meal. They argued over the organization on the beach, and he eventually submitted to Paris’ demands. Captain Kerry ended up talking to Paris about showing Chef Nick more respect, and she changed her behavior.
After Captain Kerry chatted with Paris, Fraser, and Chef Nick about their disagreements, the rest of the charter season went smoothly. His experience in the culinary field, paired with his prior experience working on superyachts, made him an adequate chef on the St. David. Chef Nick might not have meshed with the crew as well as Chef Anthony, but he was a great replacement for the final few charters.
Will Chef Nick Ever Return To Below Deck?
Is Chef Nick Coming Back For Below Deck Season 12?
There’s always the possibility that Chef Nick could return to Below Deck. He proved himself to be a great chef during season 11. His talents and abilities allowed him to excel on St. David. Chef Nick didn’t get along that well with the Below Deck season 11 crew, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t form bonds with a new set of co-workers. Captain Kerry could call him in as a replacement in a future season if needed. Now that he’s made his debut as a Below Deck chef, he could join a spin-off.
Chef Nick has been busy working since Below Deck season 11. He was called in to take over Chef Anthony’s place on St. David. With years of experience under his belt, Nick was an incredible chef. However, he was a difficult crew member to get along with at times.
