When Below Deck fans tune into any of the franchise’s popular shows, they are expecting to see lots of drama. After all, that drama is why fans care about what happened to Fraser Olender, how tipping affects the yachties’ salary, and about the times Jason Chambers crashed yachts.
Still, even though fans like talking about things like when charter guests engage in too much PDA, there is some drama they are getting sick of. A perfect example of that is the fact that many fans are over the drama surrounding Bri Muller and Elena Dubaich’s love triangle with Joe Bradley.
Below Deck Mediterranean Fans Want Bri Muller, Elena Dubaich, And Joe Bradley’s Love Triangle Scandal To Go Away
When Below Deck Mediterranean’s Bri Muller and Elena “Ellie” Dubaich were first getting to know each other, they planned to be each other’s wing-woman. However, it didn’t take too long for there to be a huge problem with that plan.
Since Bri and Ellie both had their eye on the lead deckhand, Joe Bradley, things were destined to come to a head. After all, there was a memorable moment when both women were shown expressing their interest in Joe during separate confessional interviews.
At first, many Below Deck Med fans found the love triangle to be interesting to watch. However, that tide definitely has turned over time and now there are multiple social media posts about how sick fans are of the love triangle.
In July 2024, a fan on the r/belowdeckmed subreddit posted arguing that “Ellie is such a snake”. That post went on to argue that Ellie is awful to Bri because she is “just salty cause she couldn’t get in bed with Joe first”.
In the comments of that post, there were a slew of Below Deck Mediterranean fans complaining about all the drama. More specifically, the show’s fans complained about why they found the way Ellie handled the love triangle annoying.
“Ellie is awful. Definitely ranks up among the most annoying stews ever.”
Around the same time, another post on the same subreddit complained about “Ellie bullying Bri”. The person who made that post wrote about how Ellie was mistreating Bri because she was jealous of the attention Joe pays to her. The top most-upvoted response expressed that they were so annoyed by the drama that Ellie needed to be fired and go away.
“Elli is Dwight from the office when Jim says ‘This is the smallest amount of power I’ve ever seen go to someone’s head’ It is also abuse of power when you let a personal issue influence your management decisions. She needs to go.”
The fact that a post arguing that Ellie needed to go was the top most-upvoted response shows how annoyed fans are by the love triangle. After all, that means that many fans who care enough about Below Deck Mediterranean to follow a subreddit about it want the love triangle to disappear.
Another fan who commented on that post called out Ellie for how she is treating Bri in no uncertain terms.
“She’s being a bully full and clear. She is using her rank to make Bri feel uncomfortable. It’s unprofessional and it’s all over some guy they barely even know.”
While it has seemed like Below Deck Med fans on Reddit mainly blamed Ellie for how annoying the love triangle is up until now, that isn’t the case. Instead, it is worth noting that fans also aren’t happy with how Joe has handled the situation.
A third post on the r/belowdeckmed subreddit about the drama had a second-most-upvoted response that called Joe out.
“Joe is 100% a f**k boy and it’s sad that these girls are arguing over him. Ellie especially needs to give it up and move on the way it seems Bri has. It’s actually sad to see Ellie throw herself at him – she should really know better by her age that Joe isn’t serious about anyone and if he actually liked her then he wouldn’t have his “door” open to anyone including Captain Sandy like he said, he would only be interested in Ellie.”
Below Deck Mediterranean’s Elena Dubaich Revealed The Love Triangle Drama Is Going To Get Worse
While it seems very clear that many Below Deck Mediterranean fans want the love triangle drama to go away, that doesn’t seem likely to happen anytime soon. After all, Elena “Ellie” Dubaich revealed that the drama would get pretty wild.
In June 2024, Ellie spoke to US Weekly about what fans could expect from the drama surrounding her love triangle with Bri Muller and Joe Bradley. According to what Ellie told the outlet, the drama was going to get worse.
“Things are about to get messy. If the viewers think they’ve already seen the biggest drama you have, this biscuit has not even hit the oven yet. We’re just preheating. It’s about to get crazy in the mud.
Since this interview took place in June 2024, fans could have already seen the drama at its worst. However, Ellie’s comment makes it seem likely that things will still get worse in upcoming episodes.
During that same interview, Ellie argued that Joe was the one who had a lot of responsibility for the drama.
“Yes, 100 percent [he is at fault]. After a while, I realized that it might’ve been Joe who was playing both parties. Because even watching just episode 2 where he was kind of going back and forth, I didn’t really realize the extent to which he was leading her on. Because all the stories that came back to me was more like, ‘Oh, Bri is interested in Joe. He’s not really interested in her. He wants you.’ It was more like, ‘Oh, she was throwing herself at him.’ But then I realized actually it might’ve been him who was instigating it as well.”
Since Ellie has gotten a lot of the blame for the drama, it is fascinating to learn how she viewed the situation.
