The Golden Bachelor star Faith Martin spoke out against dishonest advertising because she’s “so tired of the lying” after she fell for an online scam. Faith, a 61-year-old former high school teacher, TV news anchor, and radio personality from Benton City, Washington, made it to Gerry Turner’s Top 3, but he eliminated her right before the Fantasy Suite dates. Faith was a fan-favorite during The Golden Bachelor season 1 from the moment she arrived at the mansion on a motorcycle. She also showcased her singing and guitar playing. Faith said that she saw an advertisement for the product on Facebook, in which a woman said that it smelled “incredibly good,” and she fell for it. However, she “got so annoyed” because when she received the product, she felt that it “doesn’t smell like anything.” Faith asked if anybody else was “tired of getting lied to and falling for Facebook stuff like those ads that tell you something’s great, and then it’s not great at all.”

Since The Golden Bachelor ended, Faith has been very busy playing live shows. According to an Instagram post, Faith will be performing three shows in her home state of Washington, and one in Oregon, from June 15-27. Her song “Don’t Talk To Me” played in the background of the post. She has also been recording and releasing music. Faith shared an Instagram post, in which she could be seen “having fun at Rivervine Studio working on my next single!”
In addition to performing, Faith has been spending her time riding her horses and spending time with her family and her dogs. Faith also filmed an episode of Celebrity Family Feud with some of her Golden Bachelor co-stars as her teammates, including Natascha Hardee, Edith Aguirre, Nancy Hulkower, and Joan Vassos, who’ll debut as the first-ever star of The Golden Bachelorette in the fall. Faith has shared so many aspects of her life, which is filled with all of her favorite people and things.

Faith had a beautiful journey with Gerry during The Golden Bachelor. On premiere night, she captivated him when she rode up to the Bachelor mansion on a motorcycle instead of in the limousine. She later sang Gerry a song while she played the guitar. Gerry gave Faith his first impression rose, saying that it was not because of these things, but because she made him feel very special. He told her that the rose represented the hope that they could create something beautiful together.
During their one-on-one date, Faith and Gerry experienced a helicopter ride over Los Angeles, and then spent time on a private yacht in the Pacific Ocean. Their connection grew, and he chose her for one of his hometown dates, during which they traveled to Benton City. Gerry met Faith’s two sons, her sister, her best friend, and her three grandchildren. Although Faith was heartbroken, she and Gerry had a beautiful reunion on The Golden Bachelor “Women Tell All” episode, embracing and sobbing when they first saw each other again. She admitted to Gerry that he seemed like a stranger on the night that he said goodbye to her, but he assured her that he genuinely loved her. Gerry also lamented that he broke his promise to her family that he would protect her heart. However, Faith reassured him that she didn’t believe that he purposely deceived her. Gerry told her that he was a better person for having met her.
Faith was one of the most intriguing Golden Bachelor contestants. She always surprised Gerry, including on premiere night when she sang for him and played the guitar, which earned her his first impression rose. However, Faith made it clear to Gerry that she’d never leave Washington because she wanted to stay close to her family. This probably played a role in why they broke up, despite the fact that they had a very deep connection throughout the show.
Faith is right about false advertising on the Internet. She’s an honest person, so it really bothered her that someone would falsely represent a product online.
