Elena Dubaich was on two episodes of Below Deck Mediterranean season 7. Now, she’s joining Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 for the full season.
Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 is reintroducing Elena Dubaich, a crew member Below Deck fans may have forgotten about. The Bravo series chronicles the hectic and less-than-glamorous lives of the crew members aboard superyachts. Below Deck became so popular the franchise expanded in 2016 with its first spin-off, Below Deck Mediterranean. Below Deck Med season 9 will see the return of memorable Captain Sandy Yawn and former Below Deck Mediterranean and Below Deck Down Under star Aesha Scott. Captain Sandy and Aesha are the only returning crew members from the franchise, alongside Elena.
Elena made a quick appearance on Below Deck Med season 7 to step in for Kyle Viljoen. Though her time on the season was short and sweet, she’s set to stick around for the entire charter season on the Mustique. From the looks of the Below Deck Med season 9 sneak peek trailer, Elena will be at the center of a love triangle during the charter season. Below Deck fans did not get to know Elena during her time on Below Deck Med season 7, but that will change when Below Deck Med season 9 premieres on June 3.

Elena is roughly 28 years old. According to GossipNextDoor, Elena was 26 when she joined Below Deck Med season 7. Elena’s birthday is July 5, and she’s originally from Škofja Loka, Slovenia, according to Bravo TV. Her zodiac sun sign is Cancer, meaning Elena is emotional. She has traveled a lot throughout her life, and her favorite charter location she’s ever been to is in Cuba. Elena also said that Taiwan is one of her favorite locations for personal travel. Outside of yachting, Elena enjoys fitness and “weightlifting and gaining back the muscle mass I normally lose during a charter season.”

Before working in yachting, Elena attended a massage school and became a massage therapist. Through this job, she began working on yachts and traveling the world as a massage therapist. According to her Bravo TV bio, Elena is also a personal trainer and yoga instructor. While Elena was traveling as a massage therapist, she would give yoga lessons and lead guided meditations. Her time on yachts as a massage therapist led to Elena working as a stew on Below Deck Med. She enters Below Deck Med season 9 with eight years of experience in the yachting industry.
Elena’s experience as a personal trainer and yoga instructor is incorporated into her social media content. On Instagram, Elena shares videos and pictures of herself in the gym. Elena is very serious about her physical health. She utilizes social media to post progress photos and give fans another look into her life.
In May 2023, Elena shared on her Instagram that she was retiring from yachting. She decided to leave the industry to pursue her “fan pages,” or OnlyFans accounts, as her full-time job. “My fan pages will be my full-time job until I am able to invest in a business here in the States,” she wrote in the caption of the Instagram post. Elena’s fan pages are still active, however, it seems she came out of retirement to appear on Below Deck Med season 9. Elena takes her job onboard very seriously, and has found the lifestyle is “addicting.”

Despite this, Elena’s career in yachting has allowed her to take part in once-in-a-lifetime experiences. During her “wildest charter guest story,” Elena said that a yacht owner asked if she wanted to go on a helicopter ride over the British Virgin Islands. “I felt incredibly blessed in that moment,” she said. Though Elena briefly retired from yachting, she’s ready to step back into it for Below Deck Med season 9, one of the best reality TV shows airing this summer.
