Former “The Bachelor” Sean Lowe Shares Heartbreaking Story of Brutal Assault!

Sean Lowe Filled With Gratitude Amid Heartbreaking Family Incident

Former “The Bachelor” lead and “Dancing with the Stars” alum Sean Lowe took to social media with his wife, Catherine Giudici, by his side to share devastating news. The rescue dog the family adopted just a few months ago attacked Lowe.

Lowe’s dog attacked three times in 24 hours. As frightening as the ordeal was, he noted he had a lot to be grateful for. He also asked for prayers for his wife, noting she was really struggling emotionally with all that happened.

Sean Lowe Sustained Injuries to Both Arms

On March 17, Lowe and Giudici shared a lengthy video on his Instagram page regarding the attack. As the couple recorded, injuries on both of Lowe’s arms could be seen.

Lowe explained that something very “traumatic” happened to the family over the weekend. They wanted to be transparent in letting fans know what happened.

In the caption of his post, he wrote, “Our family has been through it the last few days but we’ll be okay. Thank you to everyone for the support. We’re very grateful.”

He explained that on Thursday, March 13, Giudici took the couple’s three kids to the mall while Lowe stayed home to host a barbecue with friends. The smoke from the grill wafted into the house and set off the smoke detectors.

Lowe went in to deal with the situation, and the family’s boxer Moose got aggressive with him. He bit Lowe’s feet, poking holes through his shoes, and a moment later, Moose fully attacked Lowe.

The injuries were bad, and Lowe knew he needed to get to the hospital once he finally got the dog off of him. He showed his forearm with a string of stitches across it, and other injuries on both arms could be seen.

After he returned from the hospital, Lowe dug into trying to figure out what to do with Moose. He acknowledged that there was absolutely no way the dog could remain in their home.

His parents came to pick up the kids, and as they were getting into the car, Moose burst through an unlocked door and attacked Lowe again. He noted the kids saw Moose attack their dad that second time. Luckily, they were quickly ushered into a neighbor’s home so they did not see it in its entirety.

Lowe Felt He Was Fighting for His Life

Lowe was taken to the hospital again, and he admitted more than once he felt he was fighting for his life during the attacks with Moose. Giudici wiped away tears multiple times throughout the video.

He reassured fans he would be okay, although he admitted he was worried about his wife. He gushed over how wonderful she had been and explained she was struggling to accept what happened.

Lowe even said he wasn’t mad at Moose. He felt certain that something with the smoke detectors going off made Moose snap and he couldn’t help himself. The family believes a lot that happened in Moose’s life before they adopted him that led them to this place.
