“Elena Dubaich’s Big Mistake: The Truth Behind Her Regret Over Criticizing Bri Muller”
Ellie Dubaich issued a public apology to Bri Muller after receiving backlash from Below Deck Mediterranean viewers for her onscreen behavior.
During the Monday, August 5, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the host asked Ellie if there was anything she wanted to address.
“Yes, everything! Just to sum it all up, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my actions, and I’m actually glad I’ve had this opportunity to see myself through somebody else’s eyes,” Ellie said about how her issues with Bri played out on the hit Bravo series.
Ellie noted that her opinion on her behavior has recently changed, adding, “In our daily lives, sometimes we are assholes to other people but we always see it from our perspective. And maybe we feel justified because somebody did something that deserved that. But we never get to see ourselves from the other person’s perspective.”

Ellie Dubaich says she regrets her treatment of Bri Muller
During her appearance on WWHL, Ellie admitted that she has a number of regrets when it comes to how she and Bri interacted throughout Season 9. She told WWHL host Andy Cohen that she regretted flirting with Joe in front of Bri at dinner. “I didn’t know he was leading her on,” she said.
Ellie also admitted that she regrets reminding Bri that she outranked her as second stew and venting about Bri while on the clock. But most importantly, she regrets the way that she had treated Bri throughout all of Season 9.
“You know, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my actions and whatnot,” Ellie said during WWHL. “Then I’m actually glad I’ve had this opportunity to see myself through somebody else’s eyes.”
By watching the show back, this new perspective has brought a lot of clarity to Ellie. “And I realized that sometimes in other people’s eyes, we are the villain in their story and that’s who I was in Bri’s story,” she explained. “And I truly regret that.”
“I should have been professional, I should have put my emotions aside, and I should have lifted her up and made her feel stronger and find strength in herself. So I regret that,” she added.
Ellie’s candid admission of guilt and regret offers a rare glimpse into the often harsh reality of life on a luxury yacht, where tensions run high, and relationships are put to the test. Her reflections show a woman who has grown from the experience, recognizing the importance of empathy and teamwork.
