Ileisha Dell has flourished as a cook since her stint on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4. The Below Deck spin-off debuted in 2020 and follows the life of a yachting crew living and working on a sailing vessel.
Ileisha Dell has been working as a yacht chef since 2014 and has 17 years of culinary experience. She was tasked with preparing great food that would enhance the guests’ experiences.
As one of the newest additions to the Below Deck brand, the series drew criticism after claims of sexual misconduct against Gary King were made public. Whether a fifth season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht will be produced or Chef Ileisha will return to the ensemble is uncertain.
Since Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Chef Ileisha Dell has run a pop-up restaurant, Dells Mediterranean, located in Australia, is presented by the Below Deck chef and described as
“summer pop-up that brings a taste of the Med to your plate”

Chef Ileisha Dell attended a Bravo event on June 25, 2024, despite not currently appearing on a season of Below Deck.
She posted images on Instagram with former Below Deck Season 8 yachtie Ashling Lorger, Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 stew Dani Soares and Captain Sandy from Below Deck Mediterranean.
Chef Ileisha Dell was also seen posing with the Below Deck Med captain, prompting fans to believe she could replace Chef Johnathan “Jono” Shillingford if he was fired after season 9.

Ileisha Dell’s Below Deck Journey
Ileisha was an excellent chef on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4. She worked under Captain Glenn Shephard aboard the Parsifal III and had a close relationship with Daisy, the Chief Stew. Chef Ileisha was unaware of Daisy, Gary and Colin’s love triangle, which caused mayhem.
Instead of getting caught up in the commotion, the chef kept to herself and concentrated on her work. Chef Ileisha told Decider in an interview on July 3, 2023, that she had “no idea” the three crew members were having problems and that she was absolutely “out of the loop” on the disagreements.
“I am in that galley 20 hours a day. I’m cooking constantly. Unless the gossip comes into the galley, I somehow miss it” – Ileisha told Decider.
After posing for a photo with Captain Sandy at a Bravo event, there was speculation that Ileisha could appear on a future season of Below Deck Med.
The Mediterranean-themed series is the franchise’s first and, probably, most successful spin-off, and Ileisha has the opportunity to showcase her culinary skills as a chef for Captain Sandy. Dells Med, her business, specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, coincidently.
If Below Deck Sailing Yacht is not renewed following the sexual assault claims against Gary, Ileisha should continue in the franchise on a different show.
