Legendary actor Eddie Murphy is yet another person who was disappointed by The Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s shocking divorce, and he’s now explaining why. During The Golden Bachelor season 1, Gerry and Theresa met, fell in love, and got engaged. They were married on January 4, 2024, in a live, televised event. However, just three months later, they announced that they were getting a divorce. They couldn’t decide where to live because neither one of them wanted to leave their family. Their divorce sent shockwaves through Bachelor Nation.

During The New York Times’The Interview podcast, Eddie admitted that, last year, he watched “all of The Golden Bachelor.” He lamented, “Hey, they broke up, too. You know they broke up?”
Eddie was very disappointed about the divorce, saying, “What kind of s— is that? Three months later. I watched that s—; I was like, ‘This is so nice; they found love in the second part of [their] life. This is a nice show. Bravo!’Then I find [they] broke up three months later. The same old s—.” Eddie is yet another Golden Bachelor fan who was upset by Gerry and Theresa’s sudden divorce.

Eddie confessed that he’s “ashamed” to say what he watches on television now because it’s “not hip stuff.” However, then he declared that he wasn’t ashamed to say that every night at 6 o’clock when he eats dinner he watches Steve Harvey’s Family Feud.Eddie’s also a fan of The Masked Singer. He shared that he and his wife watch all of the singing competition shows. He said he feels like he’s not supposed to be watching it, but then he’ll think, “I wonder who that turtle is. That s— pull you in, wondering who it is.”
It’s fun to hear that Eddie is a Masked Singer fan. The Masked Singer has had some incredible A-list celebrity reveals in recent seasons, including Dick Van Dyke, Demi Lovato, and Kevin Hart. In addition, the winners have been T-Pain, Wayne Brady, Kandi Burruss, LeAnn Rimes, Nick Lachey, Jewel, Teyana Taylor, Amber Riley, Bishop Briggs, Ne-Yo, and Vanessa Hudgens. Eddie is a singer, so it would be extraordinary if The Masked Singer could convince him to be on the show, even if it were just for one episode. It would be so exciting because he’s such a big fan.
