Have Captain Sandy and Hannah Ferrier reconciled after years of feuding?

Captain Sandy Yawn and Hannah Ferrier from Below Deck Mediterranean have made amends, but does that mean the former Chief Stew is returning to the show? They first worked together during Below Deck Med season 2, Captain Sandy’s first season, and Hannah’s second as Chief Stew. They had a great working relationship during season 2, though their relationship shifted as the seasons continued. Despite their history, Captain Sandy fired Hannah from Below Deck Med season 5 when Malia White told her the Chief Stew had a vape pen and an unprescribed Vallium onboard.

Since her firing, Below Deck Med hasn’t been the same. Unfortunately, Hannah and Captain Sandy have been at odds since she left the show during season 5. The series hasn’t found a Chief Stew that lives up to the legacy Hannah left behind. Below Deck Med season 8 was a letdown, but season 9 has improved with the addition of Aesha Scott, the spin-off’s new Chief Stew. Aesha is the best replacement for Hannah, whom she’s also close friends with. In a shocking turn of events, Captain Sandy revealed her feud with Hannah has changed.

Captain Sandy Met Up With Hannah In Australia

Captain Sandy & Hannah Are On Good Terms

On the Ricki-Lee, Tim, and Joel podcast, Captain Sandy revealed she’s on good terms with Hannah. The Below Deck Med captain revealed that she had traveled to Australia and met her daughter, Ava. “We had a great conversation,” she said, adding that their feud had been put to rest. Their reconciliation came at an unexpected time. There was speculation that Captain Sandy threw shade at Hannah with a comment she made on Below Deck Med season 9 about Aesha’s leadership tactics as a Chief Stew, but those rumors were put to rest.

They both may have been reminiscing on their time working together with the premiere of Below Deck Med season 9. Before their relationship went sour, Hannah and Captain Sandy got along well. They worked through most of their issues as a Captain and Chief Stew duo until Malia revealed she had a vape pen and an unprescribed Vallium on the superyacht. It was controversial to fire Hannah, but Captain Sandy had to abide by maritime laws and didn’t want to get in trouble because of the Chief Stew.

Captain Sandy Cares About Hannah

Captain Sandy Admitted She Cares About The Former Chief Stew

After her firing, Bravo duo Hannah and Captain Sandy said negative things about each other in the press.

On the Side Piece with Melissa Pfeister podcast, the reality star admitted she thought Captain Sandy was “competitive with [her] on the TV side of things” and planned to have her fired from the beginning of the season. In response to Hannah’s claims, the captain told Showbiz Cheat Sheet there was “no competition” between them. She believed the Chief Stew was “there for the camera” as opposed to herself, who was focused on the job at hand.

“Hannah was there for the camera. I was there as a captain. Two different things. I actually care about yachting. And I care about my job.”

During her interview on the Ricki-Lee, Tim, and Joel podcast, Captain Sandy said she truly cares about Hannah. She said a lot of people assume she doesn’t like Hannah because of her firing, but that’s not the case. “I saw Hannah the other night, and we had a great conversation,” she said, explaining that they met up in Australia. Their meetup was random since they’ve been publicly at odds with each other for years. Nonetheless, Hannah and Captain Sandy mending their relationship is terrific for Below Deck Med. They might have discussed plans for the future of the show during their meeting.

Will Hannah Make A Return To Below Deck Med?

Hannah Has Been Booked & Busy Since Below Deck Med

While Hannah has made up with Captain Sandy, it’s highly unlikely she’ll make a return to Below Deck Med. The former Chief Stew has moved on from the franchise. Hannah is a mother, podcast host, and reality star outside the Below Deck franchise. She’s moved on from her days as a Chief Stew, and it would be shocking if she came back to the show in any capacity. Hannah could potentially return as a guest full of fellow Below Deck alum for a charter trip on a future season of Below Deck Med.

It’s great to hear that Hannah and Captain Sandy from Below Deck Med have made amends. They’re arguably the two most well-known personalities from the Below Deck spin-off series, and their time working together ended abruptly. Even though they’ve reconciled, it’s still not likely that Hannah will return to the show.
